Dubailand
The world’s largest leisure and entertainment destination

Dubai’s success story as tourism hot spot and platform for the real estate and hotel industry is continuing with the mega-project Dubailand. Dubailand will encompass a mixture of projects both from the investors as well as from Tatweer the mother company.

When completed, Dubailand will be the largest amusement park in the world. A city is being erected, which is totally dedicated to leisure and entertainment. Conceived in 2003 Tatweer, a subsidiary of Dubai Holding, is turning the concept into reality. The unique 3 billion square feet development was designed to catapult Dubai onto the global map. This will make Dubailand twice as large as all Disney Lands and Disney Worlds together. Because of the size of this project, Dubailand is projected to attract millions of tourists annually from around the world once fully operational.

Dubailand is being developed along the Emirates Ring Road and is therefore easily accessible for visitors from neighboring emirates. Parts of Dubailand like “Global Village”, “Al Sahra Desert Resort”, “Dubai Autodrome” and “Polo and Equestrian Club”are already completed and put into operation. Dubailand has seven themes: theme parks, culture & art, science & planetariums, sports & sports academies, wellbeing & health, shopping & retail and resorts & hotels. The diverse projects under Dubailand include theme parks, eco-tourism projects, shopping malls, restaurants and residential units that are being developed by UAE, GCC and international investors.

Upon completion the “Sports and Outdoor World” will offer excellent training conditions for sports club members and pro-athletes alike. This area of Dubailand will also be an ideal venue for international Rugby and Cricket tournaments. The “Sports and Outdoor World” will contain ventures like Extreme-Sport, Dubai Sports, Sports City, Racing World as well as the Golf and Polo World.

The “Eco-Tourism World” will be equipped to show visitors the beauty of our Planet Earth. The “Themed Leisure and Vacation World” will attract those who came to Dubailand for rest and relaxation. It will contain numerous spas that are intended for the sheer pleasure and well-being of the guests. Dubailand will inevitably be an attractive place to ‘live, work and play’ for the Emirate’s growing population. An attractive environment is essential for a leisure and tourism destination and an appropriate setting for business and entertainment development.

It looks like Dubai will soon catapult itself to be at the top of the world class entertainment leaders.
